As Business Development Manager, Barry is a member of the Freeform Dynamics management team, and is responsible for managing the company’s direct sales activities across both the Vendor and Enterpise communities. This includes all of our services, from short, sharp speaking and consulting engagements, to large, global primary research projects and programmes.

Immediately prior to joining Freeform Dynamics, Barry worked as Segment Analyst & Data Strategist within the Market Insights (MI) Group at IBM. In this role he was was responsible for sourcing and interpreting market data from industry analysts, research firms, government bodies, etc, and using this as a foundation for advising internal business units. Over the course of a four year period, Barry accummulated significant knowledge of the market intelligence domain. He therefore joined Freeform Dynamics with first hand experience of an area that is core to our business.

By background, however, Barry is a commercial specialist; indeed he was orginally transferred into the MI Group at IBM to give it more of a sales focus. Before that move, he had spent several years working in various large account management and business development roles with IBM in the USA and EMEA, driving business within blue chip organisations in sectors such as Telecommunications and Financial Services. Through this, along with previous commercial and senior account management roles within SGI, HP, Sun and Cray, Barry has accumulated an intimate understanding of how business is done in in the IT and Communications domains.

As well as being a highly skilled and experienced sales professional, Barry is also a gentleman, and someone who believes strongly in the principle of win/win as the foundation for building sustainable business. This rare mixture of attributes makes him well placed to represent Freeform Dynamics as we develop our relationships and business activities with major clients.
